RockStar 09 Open For Entries
Unsigned bands win the chance to battle it out at Pilton’s Working Men’s Club to play at Glastonbury 2010.

The band Major Major are likely to remember the day they filled in the application form for RockStar 08. Since winning the competition back in September, they’ve supported Franz Ferdinand and The Ting Tings in front of 4,000 people at the legendary Pilton Equinox Party, spent time recording at Peter Gabriel’s renowned Real World Studios and seen their name up in lights as the first confirmed act for Glastonbury 2009. RockStar 09 will offer these incredible opportunities to another group of unsigned artists and bands. They’ll pit themselves against each other in a bid to impress some of the most influential people in the music industry.
RockStar 09 is a competition open to any and all unsigned bands/performers/solo artists and will take place in the legendary village of Pilton, the home of Glastonbury Festival. Entries must be in before the closing date on Monday 16th March 2009.
Once the judges have picked their favourite 24 bands from all the entrants, live heats will take place at the legendary Pilton Working Men’s Club with acts competing to get through to the live final. The overall RockStar 09 winner will be the first confirmed act for Glastonbury 2010 and they’ll also get to spend valuable recording time at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios.
To enter, bands and artists must download and complete the entry form, available at www.rockstarbands.co.uk and send a clear recording of themselves of no less than 2 tracks to:
