Bluescreen Cinema Evening
Last Wednesday of the Month @ Cube, Bristol
Bluescreen is a cinema evening in Bristol where on the last Wednesday of every month, short films are showcased at the Cube Cinema. Evolving from film jams and experimental screen events held at the Cube, Bluescreen has now been running successfully for over 7 years, regularly showcasing the work of local Bristol filmmakers. The Bluescreen ethos works well, with often 2-3 hours worth of films every month to screen, producing a very entertaining and eclectic mix of local short films, from mini dramas to skate films to animation and beyond!
Bluescreen operates a walk-in independent film programme, home to the professional and amateur filmmaker alike, so come down and hand in your film and it will be shown! If you’re a filmmaker, just bring along your films (20 mins or under) at 7.30pm and Bluescreen will get them on screen for you!
Bluescreen evenings also include DJs in the bar and the Cube’s very own in-house orchestra who will be on hand to provide a live score to some films from the Bluescreen archive.
The next Bluecreen is at Shambala Festival on 22nd – 24th August
