Festival Review - Waveform 2009
Friday 11th until Sunday 13th September 2009 @ Long Marsten Airfield, Warwickshire
Waveform is a sustainable dance music festival and the last of the festival season, now there’s an excuse to party!

The festival site is split into two areas: The Green Arena is there to highlight environmental issues and causes but also a place with a chilled out atmosphere to relax and grab a snack at one of the cafés - veggie, vegan and organic all catered for, naturally. Sit in the shade of the Love and/or Peace signs or underneath the shadow of a sculptured fairy mushroom circle to eat your scram. Feeling scuzzy? Refresh yourself with a solar powered heated shower!
The second area is simply called The Main Arena but provides everything you need to dance until you cannot stand! Inside you’ll find amongst he wonderfully colourful scenery the big, red/yellow stripped Psytrance Tent, a DJ, day-glowed delight, the Cat’s Cradle which is much more performance based - you know, real people using real instruments – and Eartheart, in many ways the social centre of the festival. As well as the banging toooons (as I believe the youth put it), Earthheart has a café, picnic tables, a bar (woohoo!) selling organic beers, lagers and ciders and a large, woody fire you can sit around on these cold September’s nights.
On top of all this you have your usual suspects of fire-twirlers, jugglers and face-painters. Standard fare but they do it so well and look so good!
Most importantly everyone had a fantastic time: friendly punters, friendly organisers, friendly security. Can’t knock that! Boom.
