Festival Review - Creamfields 2009
Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August 2009 @ Daresbury, Cheshire
Featuring Performances From: Anthony Probyn, Tiesto, James Zabiela, David Guetta
After travelling for about 5 hours we finally arrived at the Creamfields site! Woohoo! We headed straight to the box office to collect our tickets and then joined a number of queues to get in. I’m sure there never used to be so many! It was about 5.30pm and looking at the people around us, we clearly had some catching up to do!
As soon as we were in, we headed straight to the Cream Tent to meet up with some friends and caught the end of Anthony Probyn’s set. The next 3 hours we spent in the Swedish House Mafia Tent which was totally buzzing and banging out the tunes - the best tent by far! They were even queues to get in there!
An attempt to see Tiesto on the outdoor main stage failed miserably as it was just too cold and hence a trip to one of the many dodgy burger vans was needed. Back in the Cream Arena we saw James Zabiela who never fails to impress, just watching him gives you bundles of energy! After his set the tent was temporarily closed due to 10,000 people trying to get in to see David Guetta. Crazy! We then made our way back to the Swedish House Mafia Tent via the bar to fill up on vodkas as the only lager on sale, Stella, was not going down too well!
Towards the end of the night we headed back to the Cream Tent but the atmosphere seemed to have died and it was half empty so we trundled back off to the bus. We got on one straight away and left pretty quickly. I will forever love the bus driver for putting the heating onto such a high setting! All in all a fab night!!!
