This is the album that you think “oh my days…” (the “Where have you been all my life?” oh my days rather than “you’ve just molested my ears”), Heretics And Lovers have made something pretty special; not even Santa can sort this instrumental pleasure that muse over Explosions In The Sky and Malowi with a healthy intake of screamo.

Their album, Lungfish is an instant grower. The guitar shoegaze flows brilliantly – I have fallen in love. Feral Children captures the essence, the necessities of what musicians should be doing. Pushing the boundaries so far along, the next best thing will look like a spanner in comparison.

Happy Doomsday adds to the individuality of the band – the scream is pure, so pure it gets better every time and to put this at the centre of the album makes it the pinnacle tune with its interchangeable vocal melodies that collaborate in such an ingenious way I firmly believe Heretics And Lovers should estimate their worth and realise that people need to put dollar on the table for this album because to give this out for free is madness!
