Rhymes of Resistance

Rhymes of Resistance (as part of The Compass of Resistance International Film Festival) presents a freestyle spoken word evening that will showcase some of Bristol’s finest poets, including an open-mic session for up-and-coming wordsmiths. The event, compered by Blackout JA, will kick-off with three performances by local spoken word poets; slam champion Byron Vincent, Malusi and Tappis. Following this, the open-mic session will showcase the best of up-and-coming local talent. The focus of the evening is to celebrate poetry in all its contemporary forms from spoken word to rap, in a highly interactive environment.
