When I moved to Bristol from London nearly a decade ago, my friends in the smoke teased me that I was moving “to the sticks” where there was nothing but fields and people that talked like the Wurzels. Thankfully the reality is very different, this is a city remember, the biggest city in the South West, so here’s a little run down of a few areas to give any newcomers a little insight.

Three years ago this coming month I moved to Bristol a fresh faced Fresher armed with only a Suit Yourself student guide to the city and a key to my new student flat. Now, two jobs, three houses, countless gigs, an infinite number of nights out and one degree later I’m eagerly anticipating my forth year in this splendid city of Brizzle and am just as excited as I was when I had my rebellious haircut and acne clad choppers, and I’ll tell you why.
