Bristol PhotoMarathon 2009
Saturday 16th May 2009 @ Photographique, Bristol
A PhotoMarathon is an exciting, one-day event that combines a photo competition with a treasure hunt to produce an exhilarating creative challenge.
Entrants are supplied with a disposable camera and a list of twenty photographic subjects that have to be shot in the correct order. The subjects must be taken in the order which they are provided and only one picture can be taken to represent each topic. The cameras have to then be returned to the event staff the same day and all the pictures shot during the event will be shown in a public exhibition the following week. Brill!
On Saturday 16th May 2009, all participants meet between 10-10.30am to collect their disposable cameras and must return them by 5pm to:
Photographique
31 Baldwin Street
Central Bristol
If you have not been able to finish all topics, your completed subjects will still be shown in the exhibition, so please still return the camera!
For full details and to book a place in the PhotoMarathon please email Second Look at:
bristolasecondlook@hotmail.co.uk
It cost £7 if you pre-pay (£5 if you are a Second Look member) or £10 on the day (£8).
All the pictures taken will be displayed at the Southbank Centre, Dean Lane, Bedminster between Friday 22nd and Friday 29th May 2009 with an opening party on the 22nd!

We took part in this and it was a great day! Really looking forward to Friday night to see the results at The South Bank Centre…. but quite nervous as to how they’re going to turn out! 1 shot/chance per subject on a disposable camera….!
