Bristol & Bath Railway Path Photography Competition
Green Tracks, an independent initiative which aims to promote the social awareness and use of urban greenways, with the support of Sustrans, Life Cycle UK, Bristol City Council and Bristol Clean & Green, has launched a photography competition to celebrate the Bristol & Bath Railway Path.

Urban greenways like The Bristol & Bath Railway Path contribute to our quality of life and a sustainable future and so the initiative has asked people to submit their photos of the route which celebrate our use of it and its natural environment.
The competition is open to absolutely anyone and has a choice of six different themed categories for you to submit your photo into:
1. People and Nature
2. Peace, Space and Tranquillity
3. Trees and Woods
4. Wildlife of the Path
5. Railway and Industrial Heritage
6. Open Category (The Character of the Railway Path).
All entries will be presented online to enable others to appreciate what makes the railway path so special but the six winning images will be exhibited at city centre locations with the photographers each winning £50. All entries will be considered equally and assessed by the following criteria: composition, originality, impact, creativity and technical achievement.
Entry closing date is midnight on Sunday 31st May 2009.
