Bristol’s British Institute of Modern Music Students Release Album

These talented performers are studying at leading ‘rock and roll’ music college BIMM (British Institute of Modern Music) which has a new college in Bristol. On the album entitled What’s Inside Your Head? Volume 2, there are 14 tracks written and performed by some of the most exciting new talent, named as ‘ones to watch’ on the music scene over the next few years. Students had to pass a challenging selection process by a professional music panel to perform on the album. This is the seventh in the series of annual albums from BIMM with all proceeds getting donated to charity.

Local songster Beth Rowley was on hand to help launch the album on Wednesday 3rd June, having studied at BIMM herself and since gone on to release a solo album and a Brit award nomination last year. She said; “BIMM is one of the coolest places to study music in the world! It’s full of interesting people who all have a real passion for music. I loved it and wish I could still wake up every morning and be taught how to do what I love.”

The students have been involved in the back stage scenes of making the album with leading people from the industry. They have learnt how to prepare and record their tracks in the studio, becoming fully involved in the production process from beginning to end, giving them invaluable experience at this early stage of their careers.
