Post-photography is the latest collection of photographic experiments to emerge from the darkroom of  Alec Jackson. Within the confines of his darkroom, Alec subverts traditional and modern technologies to challenge preconceptions of what photography is, in the constant search for a new photographic vocabulary. Forgot about cameras and f-stops this work engages with photography at its elemental level, whether it’s painting with light directly on to a light sensitive surface’s or collecting and printing the discarded ends of films, each piece of work confront are beliefs of what a photograph as and asks use to question them.
