Barter Buddies
August sees the launch of Barter Buddies, a Bristol-based networking site where members can barter goods and services with people in their locality and discuss sustainable living.
Barter Buddies revives traditional ideals of exchange and trade and applies them to the modern world using today’s technology. The basic premise is that no money changes hands and that everything exchanged is on a barter basis. ‘I do this for you and you do that for me’ or ‘I have this to give you, in exchange for getting that from you’. This system of mutual exchange has worked for generations, it is as old as trading itself.
Further advantages of bartering include its community element and its environmentally friendly process of reclaiming and recycling goods, which reduces the mass of rubbish brought about as a direct result of our ‘throw-away society’.

Did this venture die already? What’s the reason? I think I could help if the creators needed.
