Following an extremely successful Open Studio Weekend last summer, Jamaica Street Studios are throwing their doors open and hosting their annual exhibition on the weekend of Friday 13th June. The impressive 4 storey studio building in the heart of Stokes Croft houses 42 artists working across a diverse range of media and disciplines and also is home to the People’s Republic of Stokes Croft. Artists will be present in their studios to demonstrate their work and exciting installations are planned for the glorious old lift shaft.

As developers move on into Stokes Croft, swallowing up Bristol’s creative sub-culture, this richly eclectic group of dedicated creatives continue to develop their thriving studio community and this is the perfect opportunity for the public to get involved and remind themselves how Bristol and Stoke’s Croft are artistically blossoming.

Following last years success, there will be a repeat art auction to help this non-funded organisation’s upkeep; a rare opportunity to purchase affordable work by up-and-coming newcomers and by the many established artists.
