Bristol is a wonderfully vibrant city with loads of quaint and kooky hang outs you might not have stumbled across yet. From historic sites to musical nights, the city has something to suit everybodyís tastes Ė thatís one less excuse for staying in today!
If there is one thing you discover quickly about Bristol, it is that itís absolutely steeped in culture. There is a historic building or bridge around every corner and every one of them is beautifully unique. If you love a nosey around an old church, you should take a look at St John Church, an absolutely gorgeous building.
If it is stately homes that you prefer, go and visit Clevedon Court. This Trust run property is a 14th century manor house with a lovely collection of glass and pottery on display. While youíre at it, take a walk down the Christmas Steps. These Grade II listed stairs house an array of quaint and welcoming shops for you to explore.
Historical monuments not tickling you fancy? Would you rather get to know the city by night? There are loads of music venues and clubs to explore in Bristol. Try the Fleece for some awesome live bands or Brew Dog for a decent pint.
The Bristol Hippodrome is a beautiful performance space where you can see a number of great musical shows and plays, visit them to find out more of what they have on offer at the minute. If you are feeling daring, you could even try the Riproar Comedy Club (itís alright for a laugh).
Of course you may need something to offer the kiddies on your day out; Bristol delivers this with style. Wave at the Lions in Bristol Zoo or speak to the fishes at the Aquarium, if that doesnít excite you, there is always the option of a visit to Horse World.
